Is the existence of a prototype confirmed: YES
... A Demo/Proto has been seen at Shoshinkai / Space World 1995, this was
confirmed by the US Nintendo Power magazine journalists who wrote the game was
on show in Japan, and I quote:
"... Polygo Block from T&E Soft all debuted at the show."
Also George Palamara from Japan gives an eye-witness account: "This is another game I got to check out at the FAMICON SPACE WORLD show. Interestingly enough this was being displayed on a big screen (in 2D naturally), but played on a VB unit. POLYGO BLOCK was a game that was almost exactly like the U.S. version of TETRIS for the VB. You arranged different shaped blocks as they fell into a large cubic container. From what I remember the entire play area could be spun and rotated as well".
