Panic Bomber:

The dark island of Ever-Mist is permanently enshrouded in a deep, dreary fog. Many adventurers have traveled there in quest of the legendary Golden Statue of Bomberman, but none have returned...

The legend states, "He or she who gathers together the three celestial medals of power, which lie on the island of Ever-Mist, shall open the gates and gain access to the statue."
Learning this, Bomberman sets off on another great adventure!
Well bombs he does throws, but not in his ordinary fashion, he's grabbing medals by puzzling like crazy against a bunch of even crazier challengers.

In a fully 3D rendered intro movie you see Bomberman traveling to the island of Ever-Mist. Once there he will face off against a whole host of bizarre characters that guard the medals/statue or just happen to be around.

Controls are very simple, you move the blocks 'n bombs that are coming down with the left directional controller, you rotate the blocks (that come in groups of three) clockwise with the A button, and counter-clockwise with the B button. You need to line three of the same blocks up in a vertical, horizontal or diagonal row to make them disappear, resulting in three unlit bombs appearing at the bottom of your screen waiting to go boom in a chain reaction by a loose lit bomb. Do this as often as possible to make scorched bombs appear at the bottom of your opponent's playing field and make his life harder!

The more blocks you cause to disappear, the higher your Decker Bomb Meter will go. When the meter fills, a Decker Bomb will appear. Decker "Huge" Bombs will clear a great deal of the clutter from your playing field. More power ups are:
Level Up, which increases the speed at which the blocks fall;
Flame Up, which increase the size of each of your bomb blast.

The play fields are essentially 2-D (wouldn't want this puzzler any other way), with moving backgrounds, and the extra items like bombs and the enemy characters are 3-D. Most notable ingame 3-D effects are sparking items and crying enemies. Can't have enough of those when you defeat them after a hard game! The after boss stage movies and ending movie are 3-D rendered like the intro which adds a touch of magic to your victory.

The level music is nothing short from amazing! You will be listening to fast, fun and sometimes adrenaline pumping music tunes the entire game. The music and sound effects are a huge plus to add to the already fun gameplay.

There's a lot of options in this game. When you go to the options menu, you can Start a new game, or enter a Password to continue where you last ended. If you're new to the game, you can get everything explained to you with a demo from The Rules. Go to Options to get into a sub-menu with well... more options like setting the Background to scrolling or having it stand still if you get distracted by it and want to concentrate on the game more. Ofcourse you can set Contrast in one of the ten degrees. But by far the most interesting option is that of Boss Battle which you can set to Normal or Skull.
In Skull Mode, bricks appear on the bottom of the screen instead of scorched bombs. If these bricks are blasted, they will turn into a random assortment of Skull items. Skull Items will be displayed in the Decker "Big" Bomb display. Skull items adversely effect the game play for your opponent for a limited amount of time, meaning you'll be bugging him like crazy if you break a lot of bricks.
Also right before you start a game you will be asked to choose between the five different sets of Blocks. Select the one you wish to play with, some are amusingly animated, yet others are simplistic blocks that prevent ingame confusion when the going gets tough.

In short: It's a very fun game. Buy it and enjoy it if you're a puzzler, or bomberman fan, simple as that.

My opinion: "I eat intruders, and pizza too!" ~Cecil The Tiger. I will just say that you shouldn't be fooled by their silly remarks, in hard mode the enemies are tough nuts to crack and whether they do or don't... your brain will. Replay value is high like most puzzle games. But I can't help missing the two-player mode.
